Auction, Fundraiser Details, Easter Fun, Bowling Social & FSS Weekly

Good morning Spouses!  We all survived the craziness of the exercise again!  Just think... one more practice in April, inspection in May, and then hopefully we can get a month of peace!  Ahhh, the perks of military life! :)

First off, I want to thank everyone who came out to the ESC's general meeting and social this past Tuesday.  Congratulations to Autumn Stratton for receiving the Peer-to-Peer gift, and we welcomed some new members as well!  I'm sure I can speak for all of us when I say that the social was a blast!  Lots of fun and laughter with Steve Wright from the Airman & Family Readiness Center as we went over the results of our personality/behavior results.  It was a great way to get to know each other, learn about ourselves and the way we communicate with each other.  If you didn't get the chance to make it, or took the survey and could not attend, contact Tina or Steve at the A&FRC 828-2458.  We highly encourage you, or you AND your spouse to take this and check out the results with them.  It can help in your currently relationship and your relationship with others for more effective communication and understanding.  I delivered a thank you card to them Wednesday for allowing us to be a part of the "PDP" experience!

Tonight is the OSC's Scholarship Auction at the Gunfighter Club.  We are excited to see so many of you purchase tickets in support of this amazing event.  Thank you to all of you who donated and we are in for a real treat this year with some amazing artwork donated by local artists along with all the silent and live auction items.  It's sure to be a fantastic event, and I hear tickets may have sold out, which would be awesome!  See you there tonight!  Fingers crossed that they exceed last year's total!!

Now to business!!  Our Butter Braid Pastry fundraiser has been APPROVED!  If you haven't gotten an order form and would like to get involved, member or not, contact me, Cheryl Chamberlain at 208-585-7127 to get one.  Here are some important guidelines and things to remember:
  • The fundraiser runs March 16th-22nd
  • Orders and money are due to me by Sunday, March 24th
  • Delivery is Monday, April 1st at 10am to my home, so we will need volunteers to help sort and deliver
  • If soliciting to friends on social media/Facebook, please make sure you list the dates of the fundraiser to comply with base guildelines
  • DO NOT TAKE ORDER FORMS INTO SQUADRONS OR USE "@AF.MIL" EMAIL ADDRESS TO SOLICIT!  If you wish to have your leadership spouses send emails or add it to a newsletter, that is fine.  If your AD spouse wants to mention it to their co-workers, and get you orders, that's fine, but no money collection can be done in the buildings.
We are asking members to sell at least 10 pastries to meet our goal of $1000.  They are $12 a pc and flavors include Bavarian Creme w/ Choc Icing, Raspberry, Blueberry Cream Cheese, Cream Cheese, Apple & Cinnamon.  Most people that have had these will reorder from you, and normally get 2-4 pastries, so we are confident we can reach our fundraising goal!  Again, contact me for forms, and any questions you may have.

EASTER EGGSTRAVAGANZA! Saturday, 23 March from 1-3 p.m. The Enlisted Spouses Club will be supporting this individual and family event at the Youth Center!!! Games, Arts & Crafts and an Easter Egg Hunt! Adult supervision of children required. $2 per person or $5 per family.  Come on out and enjoy some time socializing and getting to know some of your families.  With deployments, TDYs, etc, these events are an awesome way to make great friends and contacts!!  Please direct further questions to the Youth Center 828-2501.

Our next meeting is Tuesday, April 2nd 6:30pm at Liberty (base) Chapel.  We are also planning a Bowling Social on Sunday, April 14th.  $1/game, $1 shoes.  More details to come, so check future emails.

Thank you for being a part of the ESC and supporting our mission.  The FSS Weekly is below.  A lot of great things going on, so get out there and get involved!!  Have a great weekend!
